Return to Campus General
- Who should I talk to if I am concerned about returning?
Each employee is encouraged to talk with their supervisor first. If employees have concerns after doing this, employees and/or supervisors can contact Human Resources for guidance. Please reach out to HRBP@rice.edu.
- What PPE is being provided for Rice employees?
Face mask guidance and other PPE guidelines are available here.
- What is the process for requesting accommodations due to COVID-19?
We encourage employees to have a conversation with their supervisors about their job and needs. In most circumstances, supervisors and employees can determine which informal accommodations to provide where the employee's needs and the department needs can be met. If the employee is requesting accommodation due to their own medical condition, and they do not wish to discuss their need with their supervisor, the employee should request a formal ADA accommodation by completing this form.
Informal accommodations NOT due to an employee's own medical condition should be discussed directly with their supervisor.
- Is there child care assistance available?
Rice provides eligible faculty and staff access to several benefits provided by Bright Horizons. Visit the Benefits page at people.rice.edu or email email@example.com for more information.
