Parking and Recreation Center Fee Refund during the COVID-19 Outbreak

Dear graduate students,

I write to let you know that the university is cancelling both parking fees and Gibbs Recreation Center membership fees for graduate students, effective retroactively to March 23 and through the balance of the academic year. We are grateful to the Parking Office and Recreation Center for working through this with the GPS office these past few weeks.

How students will be refunded depends on how fees were paid. For example, if fees were paid by payroll deductions, a refund will be paid for the period since March 23 and no further deductions will be made beginning with the April 15 payroll. If students paid up front for the year, a refund will be made for the pro rata share of the year.

Students with Recreation Center memberships and parking permits should watch for communication this week for additional information on the refund process.

Parking permits will continue to be accepted, and students that have had clearance may continue to come to campus to park. Students may also continue to access the Recreation Center’s online resources to keep up your well-being routine remotely.
