Houston Health Department Pfizer Vaccine Clinics at Rice University - Oct. 13, 14, 15

COVID-19 response weekly update

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce Rice’s partnership with the Houston Health Department to provide vaccine clinics to our community. If interested in scheduling a vaccination appointment, please see the scheduling instructions below. We are planning first dose, a second dose, and booster shots for those who are eligible as defined by the CDC, and who previously received the Pfizer vaccine. The clinics will be open to Rice community members and their families. Each vaccine clinic will be available from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 13, Thursday, October 14, and Friday, October 15, in the East Gym of Tudor Fieldhouse.

There will be 1,200 total vaccine slots available, approximately 400 per day. Please follow the instructions provided below to schedule your appointment:

On the day of the clinic, you must bring a government-issued ID or passport that includes your date of birth and you must bring your COVID vaccine card. Please note: At your first vaccination appointment, you should have received a CDC-issued COVID-19 Vaccination Record card that indicates what COVID-19 vaccine you received, the date you received it, and where you received it. You must bring this vaccination card to your booster shot vaccination appointment. Learn more about what to do if you need a copy of your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record card.

A general guidance document is linked here that is meant to offer assistance navigating the Houston Health Department Patient Portal. Please pay careful attention to the section that explains appointment scheduling.
